About
I am Abhishek Tripathi, Assistant Professor in Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur , I completed Bachelors in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Further, I did PhD in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science from the joint PhD programme of IIT Bombay and Monash University (IITB-Monash Research Academy). During PhD, I worked on micro-structural and texture evolution during friction stir processing of magnesium alloys. My supervisors were Prof. Indradev Samajdar and Prof. Asim Tewari from IIT Bombay and Prof. Jian-Feng Nie from Monash University. After PhD, I worked as research fellow at the Department of Materials Engineering of Indian Institute of Science Bangalore with Prof. Dipankar Banerjee and Prof. Satyam Suwas. Shortly later, I joined as post doctoral researcher in Department of microstructure physics and alloy design at the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research, Dusseldorf, Germany in the Microscopy and Diffraction group under supervision of Prof. Stefan Zaefferer.
