Dr. Kanchan Deoli Bahukhandi working as Senior Associate Professor, Sustainability Cluster, School of Advance Engineering, UPES. Dr. Bahukhandi is a passionate academician and environmental researcher with over 23 years of experience in environmental science, sustainability, water pollution, hydro geochemistry, and solid waste management. She has been felicitated in recognition for the outstanding contribution in the field of Education and Research “ by Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (Department of Information and Science Technology , Government of Uttarakhand) on International Women’s Day, 08 March 2022 at Vigyan Dham, U.Cost, Dehradun.
She earned her doctorate in environmental science from the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology and has been Felicitated in recognition for the outstanding contribution in the field of Education and Research “ by Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (Department of Information and Science Technology , Government of Uttarakhand)
Her expertise include hydro geochemistry of water, solid waste management, emerging contaminants and micro-plastic, in various lakes of Himalayan region focusing on remediation and treatment.
She has published more than 85 research paper, 25 book chapters and Four Edited books (2 with Springer Publication) and delivered few invitee lectures at premier institute and organization and presented around 38 research paper in National and International conferences. She organized the Two-Week ISTE Short Term Training Program (STTP) on "Environmental Studies" National Mission on Education with Collaboration with IIT Bombay. She has presented around 40 research paper in national and international conference like EGU 2025 at Vienna , Austria and IBA Hongkong. She is currently guiding 5 PhD candidates and .
