About
Manabendra is currently working as a postdoc in the group of Prof. Sandro Keller at Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (TUK), Germany starting from Jan. 2018. He was born in West Bengal, India and earned doctorate degree in 2011 from Dept. of Organic Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science and his PhD research focused on the total synthesis bio-active natural products. In 2013, he moved to South Korea to join Prof. Pil Seok Chae’s group as a postdoctoral fellow and started to work on the design and synthesis of novel stereoisomeric amphiphiles for membrane protein structure analysis. Before joining Professor Chae’s group as a postdoc, he had industrial R&D experiences as Research Scientist in two different pharmaceutical industries in India. Outside the Lab, Das enjoys cooking, hiking, playing football and photography.
