About

Dr Dilip Kumar joined the department of Mathematics, University of Kerala as an Assistant Professor in March 2020. After completing his bachelor degree in Mathematics in 2001 and Masters degree in Mathematics in 2003 from N.S.S. College, Changanacherry affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, he acquired a bachelor degree in Education from U.C.T.E Paipad. In 2007, he joined Centre for Mathematical Sciences Pala as a DST-Junior Research Fellow and in 2009 he became a DST-Senior Research Fellow. He completed his PhD in Mathematics from Anna University, Chennai in 2014. In August 2014, he joined the Department of Basic Sciences at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirapally as an Assistant Professor and served there till March 2016 where he received the Best Performing Faculty Award for the year 2015. In June 2016, he joined the Department of Mathematics, N.S.S. College, Cherthala as an Assistant Professor and worked there till March 2020. Dr Dilip Kumar is a recipient of the prestigious Young Scientist Award of Indian Science Congress in 2012. He received the A.K. Agarwal Best Published Paper Award from the Society for Special Functions and its Applications in the year 2011, Indian Mathematical Society’s IMS prize in 2010, Young Scientist Award of the International Academy of Physical Science in 2010, Best Paper Award in the National Meet of Research Scholars held at IIT Kanpur in 2008 and Best Paper Presentation Award of the Vijnana Parishad of India in 2007. He has participated and presented papers in many national and International conferences. He has been an invited speaker of many national and international conferences in India and abroad. He published about 15 papers in international journals and a few papers in national journals. His areas of interest are Special functions, Integral transforms, Fractional Calculus and reaction rate theory in Astrophysics. He is an executive committee member of the Society for Special Functions and their Applications, India, a Member of the PG Board of Studies at MS University Thirunelveli, an External Expert of the Board of Studies in Mathematics at CMS College, Kottayam and an approved University of Kerala research guide.
