About
Dr. Subhojit Bose is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), India, where he contributes to experimental campaigns and plasma operations on the ADITYA-U tokamak. His research expertise spans plasma breakdown physics, edge dynamics, instabilities, and nonlinear fluctuation analysis. Notably, Dr. Bose developed an electrode-based pre-ionization system to ensure reliable plasma breakdown in ADITYA-U, utilizing COMSOL simulations to optimize electric fields. His current work investigates transient plasma behavior and edge dynamics during the current ramp-up phase. Dr. Bose earned his Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from the National Institute of Technology Agartala in 2023. His doctoral work focused on the development of plasma sources and Langmuir probe diagnostics, alongside the study of Self-Organized Criticality and nonlinear phenomena in DC and RF glow discharge plasmas.
