About

Dr. Kumar K is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Tirupati, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Power Electronics in Renewable Energy Sources from VIT University, Vellore, and has completed a PG Certification in Artificial Intelligence and its Applications from IIT Kharagpur (AICTE-sponsored, 2024).

With over 12 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Kumar specializes in Power Electronic Converters, Electric Vehicles, Battery Energy Management Systems, and the application of Machine Learning in Electrical Engineering. He has published over 30 SCI/SCIE/ESCI and Scopus-indexed journal papers, contributed to more than 20 conferences, and authored several book chapters.

He has filed 14 patents and completed multiple funded projects from reputed organizations including SERB, AICTE, JNTUA, and NMICPS-TIHAN. Dr. Kumar is an IEEE Senior Member and an active reviewer for leading journals such as IEEE Access, Elsevier, Springer, and MDPI.

His research interests include Intelligent Energy Management Systems, High-Gain DC-DC Converters, Renewable Energy Integration, and Artificial Intelligence applications in power systems.
