About
Satish Kumar serves as the President and Executive Director of the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), India’s leading ecosystem enabling, energy efficiency organisation. Prior to AEEE, he was the Energy Efficiency Ambassador and led the Energy Management business at Schneider Electric India and has worked as a Scientist at US Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the USA. He serves as a senior energy efficiency advisor/technical expert to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, NITI Aayog, Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Energy Efficiency Services Limited, and Department of Science and Technology (DST). He has led or has been closely involved with the development and/or administration of the following initiatives: India Cooling Action Plan and National Cooling Action Plan Framework, Global Cooling Prize, Solar Decathlon India, State Energy Efficiency Index and International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol. He has a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon and a B. Arch from IIT Roorkee and is a LEED Fellow. He has authored more than 100 book chapters, journal, conference papers and industry reports.
