Ashish Jain is an accomplished academic and researcher specialising in mechanical engineering with a profound expertise in deformation-induced transformation of austenite in steels. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, where his dissertation focused on linking the microstructure, mechanisms and mechanical properties of steels.

His PhD research, titled "Deformation Induced Transformation of Austenite in Steels," involved extensive analysis using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and optical microscopy.
