About

Dr. Satish Patil is presently a Professor at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He did Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Ullrich Scherf at Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany on conjugated polymers for blue organic light-emitting diodes. Thereafter, he worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow from 2004-2006 in the Group of Prof. Fred Wudl at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research interests include the synthesis of conjugated polymers and oligomers with novel properties and studying their characteristics working at the interface of chemistry, physics, and materials engineering. His research group at present is actively engaged in developing π-conjugated polymers and oligomers for singlet fission thermally activated delayed fluorescence and organic solar cells.
