About

Sijo Varghese is a PhD holder who recently obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) in Bangalore -560029, Karnataka, INDIA. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Corporate Manager at the Corporate Educational Agency in Ernakulam, Kerala, for three years and as a guest faculty at Bharata Mata School of Social Work in Kochi-682021 for a couple of years. He obtained his Master's in Social Work from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady -683574, Ernakulam, Kerala, in 2016. He has presented a few research papers at national and international conferences and has published in various Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. His research interests include social work, secondary school teachers, sustainability, sustainable development, education for sustainable development, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His research publications have been extensively cited by numerous national and international scholars in both Scopus-indexed and non-Scopus research papers. Additionally, he received funding from the Tzu Chi Foundation in Taiwan for the Covid-19 Relief Fund, which was carried out in the Chittattukara Gramapanchayath in Ernakulam District, Kerala, in October 2020 and December 2021. Moreover, he possesses a patent from the Indian Patent Office for his innovative research.
