About

Eugene Yang, MD, MS, FACC is a Professor in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and holds the Carl and Renée Behnke Endowed Chair for Asian Health. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and advanced cardiac imaging at Stanford.

Dr. Yang is chair of the ACC Section Steering Committee and immediate past chair of the ACC Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease Section. He chairs the Hypertension Working Group for the ACC Prevention Council and is the director of the Asian Health Initiative and co-director of the CV Wellness and Prevention Program at UW Medicine. His research interests include understanding cardiovascular risk among Asian subgroups and developing new technologies for video-based blood pressure measurement.
