About
Dr. Gitesh Kumar is a dedicated academician and researcher with 7.5 years of teaching experience and 6 years of research expertise in Mechanical Engineering. Awarded a Ph.D. in Tribology (2024) from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology (GJUS&T), Hisar, his doctoral work focused on developing environmentally acceptable lubricants (EALs) using ionic liquids and nanoparticles, achieving significant advancements in sustainable tribology.
He has published 14 research papers in reputed SCIE/ESCI/Scopus-indexed journals, demonstrating contributions in nanolubricants, rheology, and environmentally friendly lubricants. Proficient with advanced instruments such as Rheometer, Tribometer, and Four-Ball Tester, he has successfully executed funded research projects (DST-PURSE, New Delhi).
Dr. Kumar began his academic journey with a B.Tech. (2009) and M.Tech. in Integrated Product Design & Manufacturing (2011), both from GJUS&T, Hisar, and later earned his Ph.D. in 2024. He has served as an Assistant Professor (2011–2017) at PPIMT, Hisar, a Junior Research Fellow (2017–2020) at GJUS&T under a DST-funded project, and is currently a Temporary Teacher (2024–present) at GJUS&T, teaching Fluid Mechanics, Theory of Machines, and Tribology.
His research expertise includes environmentally acceptable lubricants, nanoparticles, ionic liquids, additive manufacturing, and AI applications in tribology. With a strong balance of teaching, mentoring, and research, he aspires to contribute to innovative academic programs and sustainable mechanical engineering solutions.
