About
I am Avtar Singh Gautam, a Ph.D. scholar in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at NIPER Raebareli. I hold a master’s degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from NIPER Hajipur, where I developed a strong foundation in pharmacological research. During my master’s dissertation at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, I gained hands-on experience in animal experimentation and histological techniques. Currently, my doctoral research focuses on neuroimmunology, specifically identifying IL-17 as a therapeutic target in Alzheimer’s disease. I have presented my work at international platforms, including the EMBO Workshop on Neuropeptides and Behavioural Flexibility, where I had the opportunity to connect with researchers from around the world.
