About
Dr. Ritesh P. Bhole is currently working as a Professor, Dept. of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, in Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Pune. He is academically proficient with Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences preceded by M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
He has vast experience of about 21 years in the teaching and research field. He has been extensively working in the area of drug design and discovery for anticancer and anti-infectious diseases for the last 18 years.
He has published more than 100+ research and review papers in national and international journals of repute. He also presented his work at several national and international conferences. He has authored 04 books and filed 16 national and 05 international patents.
His work is well funded by research grants for more than 50 lakhs from national funding agencies.
During his tenure, he has been the recipient of many national and international awards, to mention a few, PD Sethi National Award for Best Research Paper in HPTLC, by Anchorm, India, Best Review and critics award on Analytical instrument, by Selectscience, Corston, United Kingdom, Best Publication Award (National) in the field of drug design and discovery by V-Life Sciences, Best Poster Award on Academia-Industry Collaboration by AICTE, New Delhi, etc.
He has collaborated with the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre, University of Cambridge, UK, Department of Pharmacy, University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK, University of Manchester, UK, Creighton University, USA, King Saudi University, Riyadh,UAE, ICMR- National JALMA Institute for Leprosy and Other Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra, etc. He had also signed MOU with MERCK, Germany, to develop novel small molecules for anticancer studies by invitation in 2013, which made him a part of their anticancer drug discovery program. He is an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer of many national and international Journals.
He is a life member of many professional bodies including, Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers in India (APTI), Asian Council for Scientific Editors, (ACSE), American Institute of Science, (AIC), Science and Advisory Board etc.. He is also rated as an Expert Reviewer by Selectscience, United Kingdom.
