Prashant Basavaraj Bhagawati is a professor of civil engineering department, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. He was awarded his M.Tech in environmental Engineering and Ph. D degrees in Civil engineering at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. Bhagawati has more than 17 years of experience in environmental engineering with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment and developing new matrices, innovative solutions for waste management. He is also interested in studying innovative economic and environmentally friendly techniques for the management of solid waste, hazardous wastes. He has authored many peer-reviewed scientific papers and chapters and served as a book editor of several books published by international publishers.
He has got a chance to do work at CSIR-CECRI, Kariakudi, Tamilnadu as Principal Investigator. His major research contributions are reflected from the research papers published in the international journals. He has presented his research articles in national and international conferences conducted by several prestigious institutions in India. Received IEI Young Engineers Award 2020-21 in Environmental Engineering discipline. (Institute of Engineers (IEI, Kolkata), Fellowship of Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence (TARE) - DST SERB-fellowship.
He has attended and participated in many workshops, training programs in the related area. He has expertise in the analysis and sampling of water and equipped updated tools such as Spectrophotometer and analytical techniques including computer ability DoE.
