Kannan Krithivasan was born in 1960 at Thillaiyadi, Tamil Nadu, India. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Mathematics from Alagappa Univeristy, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India in 2000. He joined the faculty of SASTRA University, Thanjavur, India in July, 1985. He served as Professor of Mathematics and Dean - School of Humanities and Sciences in 2010 to 2018 and Dean - School of Education in 2019 - 2020. He is continuing at SASTRA University as Professor in School of Computing now. His research interests include Two Phase Fluids, Hypergraphs, Image Processing , Computational Intelligent Techniques, Data Science and Intrusion Detection Systems. So far he has published 142 research articles in peer reviewed journals and conferences. He has supervised 11 Ph.D. scholars and supervising 5 Ph.D. Scholars. Currently he is working on funded projects supported by DST ,DRDL and TCS(Pvt Ltd).
