Dr. Durgaprasad J has started his professional career as Senior Research Fellow at National Aeronautical Laboratory (NAL-CSIR), Bangalore during 1991; and moved, in the year 1992, to Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC-CSIR), Chennai to serve as a Scientist before leaving to UK and later working in India for various educational organizations until 2016. He is having 28 years teaching and research experience and teach undergraduate as well as postgraduate students at Sharda University, GMR Institute of Technology, and has assisted/guided Ph.D. scholars at prestigious Universities like Sharda University and University of Bristol, UK, and have working experience at University of Bristol, UK, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), USA, and Texas Tech University (TTU), USA. He has eleven Scopus indexed/SCI publications in peer reviewed International Journals and registered patents to his credit. The major publishers include American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), John Wiley, Elsevier and Blackwell etc. are accepted his papers to publish in their journals and reviewed several technical papers for ASCE and IEEE.
He has recognition for the paper published in ASCE’s Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering, 1997. Editor of ASCE invited him, after recognizing his original research contribution in ASCE, to author a book. It is in offing.
He had fellowship from UNDP during 1994. Published his biography, voluntarily, in Who’s Who in the world (Millennium edition of the marquis, USA), 2001. He is Fellow of ASCE, Fellow of Institute of Engineers (FIE), India and life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Indian Society of Wind Engineering (ISWE).
