Raghavendra H. L. currently serves as the Director-cum-Professor at the College of Biosciences and Technology, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University), Loni, Maharashtra, India (Pin: 413736). He obtained his Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Biochemistry from Kuvempu University, Karnataka, India. Additionally, he was a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Botucatu Medical School (FMB), São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil, where he worked on the project titled “Biochemical, protein, and immunohistochemistry markers of muscle fiber and extracellular matrix of the rectus abdominis muscle of pregnant women with hyperglycemia” under the mentorship of Prof. Emérita Marilza Vieira Cunha Rudge and Prof. Iracema de Mattos Paranhos Calderon.

Previously, he served as an Associate Professor at the College of Health Sciences, Wollega University, Nekemte, Ethiopia, and was also the Director of Publication and Dissemination at the same institution. He has received five Outstanding Presentation Awards at international conferences and was honored five times as the Best Employer of Wollega University.

Dr. Raghavendra is a Life Member of multiple scientific societies and serves as Editor-in-Chief and Advisory Board Member for more than eight journals. He has successfully secured funding for over ten research projects and has contributed extensively to scientific literature, authoring over 180 research articles. Furthermore, he has been actively involved in academic events as an Organizing Secretary or Member for more than 15 conferences and has presented research at over 50 national and international conferences. He has also chaired or co-chaired sessions in eight national/international conferences.

His professional career includes experience as an Analytical Chemist, Chemist, Inspector, and Project Fellow under a UGC major research project. Additionally, he has held positions as Scientist and Assistant Professor at Micro Labs Ltd., Caleb Brett India Pvt. Ltd., Kuvempu University, Bioneeds India Pvt. Ltd., and Mallige College of Pharmacy.

His primary research interests include Phytochemistry, Pharmacology, Diabetes, Oxidative Stress, Bioavailability, Pharmacokinetics, Anticancer Drug Action, Drug Discovery and Delivery, and Toxicology.
