Trained as organic chemist for Master's degree, did polymer chemistry for Doctoral work and then began work on thermotropic liquid crystals. Visited University of Michigan, Ann Arbor for a year to work on NMR of Thermotropic Liquid Crystals in Ram's Lab. Retired as Chief Scientist from CSIR-CLRI, India and currently focused on shaping the unpublished research work.
