About

Prof. Bibekanand Mallick is a Fellow of the National Academy of Biological Sciences (FNABS), Royal Society of Biology, London (FRSB), and a Member of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI). He is the editor of reputed SCI journals, including Experimental Cell Research and Communications Biology (Nature portfolio journal). He was recently honoured with the NABS Best Scientist Award in Basic Sciences. Prof. Mallick leads the RNAi Laboratory at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela and conducts a wide range of research in molecular biology in cancer. He is known for his research on RNA interference, gene silencing, drug repurposing, and RNAi therapeutics for cancer. He has discovered a small RNA that potentially suppresses tumorigenesis and reduces chemotherapy resistance in cancers, especially tongue cancer. He is also the author of several books published by renowned publishers like Oxford University Press, McGraw Hill, Springer, and Elsevier, USA.
