About

My research interests focus on quantum cosmological non-singular early-universe scenarios, in particular bouncing, cyclic, and emergent cosmologies. I am interested in applying canonical quantization and related quantum-mechanical approaches to these scenarios, with the aim of quantum resolution of cosmological singularities, understanding the quantum-to-classical transition, and examining the role of different interpretations of quantum mechanics in a cosmological setting. I am also keen to explore potential observational signatures arising from quantum effects in the early universe, using cosmology as a testbed for foundational aspects of quantum mechanics. I also want to confront these theoretical models rigorously with observational data and further make some distinctive predictions of future observations which will help differentiate them with other models of the early universe. I am presently working as a CSIR Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Prior to this I completed my PhD from Aliah University (2021-2025), Kolkata and the title of my thesis was ``Wormholes and Emergent Universe: Violation of the Null Energy Condition in General Relativity and Modified Gravity." Before my PhD, I worked as a Junior Research fellow in a DST project for two years from 2019-2021.
