Shanti Suman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, University of Allahabad. Before joining the University of Allahabad in 2013, Dr. Suman had taught for more than five years in three different Institutions. He had studied Psychology at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi and obtained Ph. D. from here. He has been a Junior Research Fellow in a Major Research Project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) at IIT Kharagpur.

Dr. Suman has more than twenty five published research papers in reputed national and international journals, including, Taylor and Francis Group (Psychology Press and Routledge), and SAGE Journals, having good Impact Factor. He has presented his research studies in various national and international conferences held in India and abroad.

Dr. Suman has been the Chairperson/Member of various Academic and Administrative Committees in his Institution, and Subject Expert (Psychology) in various Public Service Commissions, in other Universities/Institutions, and Agencies. He has been supervising many Ph. D. Thesis and P.G. Dissertation. Two Ph.D. have been awarded under his supervision and one Ph. D. Thesis has recently been submitted. He has also been an Assistant Editor of the Journal 'Psychology and Developing Societies' Published by the Sage and reviewer in many prestigious Journals.
