About
Dr Komal Saini is currently working as an Assistant Professor in Chandigarh College of Pharmacy, Landran, Mohali. She has done her PhD from University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh under the guidance of Dr Vandita Kakkar and has a research experience of more than 10 years. She has completed her research training in pharmaceutical industry. She was the Gold Medalist during her master programme. She has worked on topical nanoformulation of tetrahydrocurcumin and tacrolimus for the treatment of atopic dermatitis for which she has received the commonwealth scholarship in UK during her PhD. Presently, she is working on solubility enhancement of nutraceuticals, neurodegenerative disease and topical nanoformulations. She has presented her research work at National and International conferences and received several Best Paper Awards. With her ability to comprehend the taught lessons, she has published 12 research and 10 review papers with good impact, 40 magazine articles in Ingredient South Asia (Saffron Pvt Ltd) and three book chapters to her credit. She is also a co-inventor in two Indian patent and two design patents. She has received the research fellowship from DST-SERB, Commonwealth Commission (UK).
