About

Saurabh Das was born on July 14,1983. He received his Doctoral degree in 2013 in Radio Physics and Electronics at University of Calcutta, Calcutta, India. He received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in physics from University of Burdwan and Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, in 2004 and 2006 respectively. He joined as Research Fellow at Indian Space Research Organization, Ahmedabad in 2006. He was worked as an Assistant professor at Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta under ISRO's Space Science Promotion Scheme during October 2009 to March 2015. Currently he is working as Faculty at Centre for Soft Computing Research, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata under DST INSPIRE program since April 2015. He has a number of publications in peer reviewed journals and international/national conferences. He reviewed a number of papers in IEEE Transaction of Geo-Science and remote sensing, Geophysical research letter, PIER etc. His area of interest includes signal propagation through the ionosphere and troposphere, remote sensing of precipitation, radar etc.
