Prof. Chiou-Feng Lin received his Ph.D. training at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan (1998-2002). He had post-doctoral training from 2002 to 2006 at NCKU and had visited as a visiting researcher at National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, NIH, USA, for a short period (Oct. 2015-Dec.2015). He was employed as an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Clinical Medicine at NCKU in 2006 and was promoted to Associated Professor in 2010. In 2015, he got promotion to Professor at Taipei Medical University (TMU) and now is a faculty and head in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. Up till now, over than 30 graduated master (20) and Ph.D. (10) students were supervised by Professor Lin in the past 10 years. He has acted as SCI journal reviewer for 125 manuscripts, including Science Translational Medicine, Scientific Reports, Biochemical Pharmacology, and so on. He was also serviced as national and international grant reviewer for Taiwan, United Kingdom, Portugal, and South Africa. Professor Lin’s research interests are focused on several fields, including Infection and Immunity, Oncoimmunology, Cell Death, and Signal Transduction. For dengue virus research, he had more than 18 years experience on the study of Autoimmunity and Viral Immunology. Over than 127 SCI papers are published by the works of Professor Lin and his research teams in the past years. Among these scientific papers, he held 57 papers as the correspondence. Especially in dengue project, he had chapter contribution to a book entitled Dengue Disease, WHO Dengue Bulletin, and several SCI reviews. He presently acts as Executive Editor in Journal of Microbiology, Immunology and Infection (SCI journal). In 2012, he was awarded Distinguished Researcher of the Chinese Society of Immunology, Taiwan. His current dengue study is focused on the development of infectious disease model and the potential targets of antiviral therapy.
