About
Dr. Vinod Saharan graduated from Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University (CCS HAU), Hisar, Haryana, India. He was awarded Israel Government Scholarship in 2003 for Ph.D. Research at Ben-Gurion University (BGU), Israel. He did Post Doc from the Agricultural Research Organization of Israel (ARO) Volcani, Israel, in 2007. Currently, He is Professor and Head, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. He is heading the Nano Research Facility Laboratory at the university and a pioneer in developing chitosan-based nanomaterials for plant growth and protection. He obtained many patents in field of agricultural nanotechnology. Currently, his group is working on developing of next-generation nanofertilizers for sustainable agro-ecosystems. He has 80 peer-reviewed international publications. He has one authored Springer book and more than 20 book chapters. His laboratory has research linkage and collaboration with Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, USA.
