About
Dr. G. Suresh Kumar is a dedicated researcher and academician, currently working as Assistant Professor of Physics at Sona College of Technology, Salem, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Periyar University and brings over 12 years of experience in teaching and interdisciplinary research. His research expertise lies in nanomaterials, biomaterials, supercapacitors, photocatalysis, corrosion protection, and bioimaging, with a strong focus on sustainable and biowaste-derived materials. Dr. Kumar has authored more than 80 research articles in reputed international journals and is the recipient of prestigious fellowships, including the Senior Research Fellowship (CSIR) and Junior Research Fellowship (DST). He also holds a patent, has contributed to four book chapters, and has edited one book. He maintains active international collaborations with institutions in Russia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea, and has organized four sponsored national and international conferences. Dr. Kumar’s work bridges fundamental science with real-world applications in energy storage, environmental sustainability, and biomedical technology. He is a recognized peer reviewer for journals published by Elsevier, Springer, Wiley, IOP, and RSC Publishing. He has served as a Guest Editor for Materials Today: Proceedings and Frontiers in Materials. Dr. Kumar is also a life member of several professional bodies, including the Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs (India), the Materials Research Society of India, and the Indian Physics Association.
