About
I am Saklain Mustak Alam, a PhD Scholar and Junior Research Fellow at All India Institute of Medical Sciences Guwahati, India. My research focuses on occupational heat stress, environmental physiology, and its impact on worker health, particularly in the context of climate change.
My current work investigates the effects of heat exposure on hydration status, physiological strain, and renal function among factory workers in Northeast India. I am involved in interdisciplinary research that integrates environmental monitoring (WBGT), physiological assessment, and biochemical biomarkers to develop predictive indices for heat strain and kidney injury.
