About
Dr. Mandeep Singh is currently Professor and Former Head in the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Department, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. Dr Singh obtained his Ph.D. in Tele-Cardiology, Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics (Instrumentation & Control). Dr Singh is a BEE Certified Energy Auditor and an Empanelled Consultant for PAT Scheme. Dr Singh has more than twenty five years of teaching experience. His current area of research interest includes Biomedical Instrumentation, Energy Conservation, Alternative Medicine and Cognition Engineering. In addition to his regular responsibilities, he has served Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology as Faculty Advisor (Electrical) for more than eight years. Dr Singh has successfully handled two research projects with DIPAS-DRDO related to fatigue detection and wireless monitoring of ambulatory subjects and is currently leading a three year research project of development of physiological sensors in collaboration with Virginia Tech University (USA).
