About

Neha Beniwal received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, India, in 2014, the M.Tech. degree in power electronics, electrical machines & drives (PEEMD) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India, in 2017, and the Ph.D. degree from the Interdisciplinary Graduate School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2021. She is currently a Research Engineer at GE Global Research, NY. Prior to this, she was working as a Research Fellow at the Energy Research Institute at NTU (ERI@N), Singapore. Her research interests include modulation and control of power converters for renewable energy integration, aerospace and energy storage systems.
Dr. Beniwal was awarded the Commendation for Doctorate Research Excellence Award for her outstanding Ph.D. research work by the School of EEE, NTU, Singapore. She is a recipient of the POSOCO Power System Award, awarded by Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. (POSOCO) in association with Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer in 2018 for her master’s research work. She has also received Prof. A.K. Sinha Cash Prize and IEEE-PEDES’96 Award at the Annual Convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 2017. She was also the vice-chair of the IEEE Joint IAS/PELS Student Branch Chapter, NUS during 2020-21.
