I am a distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Vidyasagar University, Paschim Medinipur, India. World’s Top 2% Scientists released by Stanford University and Elsevier, 2025. With a strong academic foundation, I earned both B. Tech. and M. Tech. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Calcutta, followed by a Ph.D. degree from Vidyasagar University.
I have extensive research portfolio centers around cutting-edge areas such as Image Processing, Steganography, Data Hiding, and Watermarking. My expertise has guided the successful completion of Ph.D. degrees for four research scholars under my dedicated supervision, while an additional eight scholars are actively engaged in research projects under my guidance.
My scholarly impact is evident through my prolific publication record, boasting over ninety-five research papers in prestigious National and International Journals and Conferences. Beyond my research contributions, I have global presence which is showcased through my participation as an invited speaker/resource person in state-level seminars and the presentation of over thirty-five technical research papers at International Conferences, spanning countries like Japan, Thailand, and Dubai.
My leadership extends to academia, as I have fulfilled significant roles during my tenure at Vidyasagar University. Notably, I served as the Head of the Department of Computer Science for eight years, and previously held the position of Teacher-In-Charge at HIT, Haldia. As a testament to my administrative acumen, I am a pivotal member of Vidyasagar University's Executive Council (EC), the university's highest decision-making body.
In addition, my commitment to community engagement is reflected through my role as the Program Officer of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit –VIII of Vidyasagar University. My leadership is also prominent in my capacity as the Secretary of the Ph.D. Committee within the Department of Computer Science, where I plays a crucial role in shaping the academic direction of the department.
With my extensive contributions to research, academia, and community involvement, I continues to inspire and lead in the field of Computer Science, making a remarkable impact on both my students and the academic community at large.
