About
I have a doctorate degree in material science from Panjab University, Chandigarh. My research expertise is in fabrication and characterization of fullerene based organic solar cells. Research work mainly focuses on to (i) fabricate well efficient small molecule fullerene based organic solar cells (OSCs) using thermal vapor deposition technique (ii) improve the device performance by charge extraction and collection of charge carriers in device with the incorporation of cathode buffer layers (CBLs) (iii) enhance the optical absorption of light photons in the device with the insertion of metallic gold nanorods (AuNRs) synthesized using seed-mediated method, and (iv) study the plasmonic behaviour of OSC device incorporated with AuNRs.
I have published more than 9 scientific papers during my PhD. I have experience in writing and organizing scientific papers as well as review paper.
Experience and research skills:
Vapor thermal deposition technique, Spin Coating Unit, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, PL spectrophotometer, Constant photocurrent method (CPM), Nanorod’s synthesis. I am well versed in fabrication methods of solar cells and also characterization like structural, optical, electrical and morphological, dielectric, mid-gap absorption spectra data analysis of Schottky barrier and bilayer OSC devices.
