About
Dr. B.Ashok started his professional career as specialist engineer in Vehicle Electrical and Electronics at M/S. Force Motors India Ltd, Pune. During his tenure, he played a lead role in the implementation of electronic control for BS IV engine and Antilock Braking System (ABS) in vehicle portfolio. After the industrial experience, he joined as Full Professor in Automotive Department at Vellore Institute of technology, India. His expertise in Mechatronics engineering domain helps to evolve the novel interdisciplinary research in the areas of automotive electronics and automotive engineering system. Those outcomes of his research approach resulted in the publication of 2 patents and 148 research papers with cumulative SCI Impact Factor of 570. Furthermore, he has secured various funded projects from agencies like DST, ASEAN and Royal Academy, UK of 2.2 Crores INR worth in the areas of Electric vehicle development, battery thermal management, additive manufacturing application electric vehicle, Flex-fuel engine, and Biofuels. To his credit, Dr.B.Ashok has been awarded as “Top 2% Scientist in the world” for the consecutive two years by a study conducted from researchers of Stanford University recently. His current research work is focused on the powertrain calibration of electric vehicle, additive manufacturing-based chassis development for electric vehicle application, battery management system, hybrid strategy development for IC engines and flex-fuel engine development.
