Dr. Kousik Das Malakar is a socio-ecological geographer, GIS analyst, and researcher with a core specialisation in climate change and policy. He currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, GDC Memorial College (Ch. Bansi Lal University), BRCM Vidyagram Campus, Haryana. His research focuses on the climate crisis and contemporary socio-ecological challenges. A big emphasis of his research is on how changes in climate affect socio-ecological systems and sustainability.
Research interests: Climate Crisis; Socio-ecological System; Coastal Ecologies; Disaster Studies; Geospatial Technologies; Society & Sustainability; Geographies and Socio-spatial Ecologies of the Traditional Marine Fishing Society.
