Dedicated academician, esteemed scientific researcher, and author of numerous international and national publications. Currently working as Vice-Principal (School of Dental Care Professionals) and Professor (Assistant) at Faculty of Science of Dental Materials, Dr Ishrat-UL-Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences (DIKIOHS) Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS). Priorly, he worked as Director of Dental Research Cell (DRC), Research Coordinator for Dental Section and Assistant Professor (Department of Science of Dental Biomaterials) at Bahria Medical &Dental College, Bahria University of Health Sciences (BUM&DC, BUHS). He has also worked as Head of the Department and Assistant Professor (Department of Science of Dental Materials) Jinnah Medical & Dental College, Sohail University Karachi.
Dr Uddin is accredited National Scientist (NSD), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of Pakistan, he has completed his International Fellowship (FHEA) from Advance HE UK, National Fellowship (FNAHE) from National Academy of Higher Education HEC, Post-Doctorate and PhD from University of Sheffield United Kingdom in Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine.
He has also completed his MSc in Dental Biomaterial Sciences from Queen Marry University of London United Kingdom. Moreover, he has completed his professional education in Dentistry (BDS) and registered professionally with Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC). More recently, National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) from Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Vice Chancellor Seed Funding (VCSFI) from DUHS has been granted to him for his research projects. Currently, as HEC & DUHS approved supervisor he is supervising certain research groups of both undergraduate and postgraduate (PhD, MPhil, MS and MDS) students. His areas of research interests are Biomaterials, Material Sciences & Engineering, Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, Stem cells Research and Cancer. As a dynamic dentist, he is passionate for raising awareness about basic community dental problems and utilizes writing as a primary medium for advocacy.
