Dr. Mukesh Kumar is working as a Professor in the Department of Horticulture at the Sardar Vallbhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut, UP, India. Dr. Kumar is deeply attached to horticulture, with a specialization in floral and biotechnology of flowers. To his credit, he has more than 240 research papers, five books, ten book chapters, and 80 abstracts. He has received an international grant and worked as a visiting scholar at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan, USA during the year 2010. He has received numerous awards, including a Young Scientist Award, a Fellow Scientist Award, and numerous others, for his contributions to the Horticultural field for the advancement of the social, welfare, and horticultural sectors. He is a life member of several scientific societies. He also visited several countries, like Austria, Singapore, and the UAE, several times to attend international conferences and seminars for the purpose of gathering and sharing scientific knowledge. He has handled several research projects funded by ICAR, NHM, CST, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India.
