Prof. (Dr.) Santanu Roy is currently serving as Professor, IILM Institute for Higher Education, New Delhi, India. Prior to joining IILM, Prof. (Dr.) Roy jad served as the Director, ICFAI Business School (IBS), the ICFAI University Dehradun, India. Previously, Prof. (Dr.) Roy had served as the Professor and Dean, School of Business & Economics, Adamas University, Kolkata, India. Prior to this assignment, Dr. Roy had served as Professor and Dean, School of Management, IMS Unison University, Dehradun, India. Before joining IMS Unison University, Dr. Roy had served as a Professor in the area of Supply Chain/Logistics, Project, Operations, and Technology Management at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad, India from August 2020 to July 2021. Prior to this engagement, Dr. Roy had served as Professor at IMT Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from July 2012 to August 2020, taking up responsibilities at different times as the Program Chair, Master of Business Administration and as the Program Chair, Dual Country Program. Prior to joining IMT Dubai in the year 2012, Dr. Roy had served as the Officiating Dean (Academic Administration), and Chairperson, Research and Doctoral Programs, at IMT, Ghaziabad, India (2008 to 2012), and even earlier, he had served as Associate Professor at Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur (2005 to 2008). Dr. Roy is an Elected Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), United Kingdom. Dr. Roy, an NSTS Scholar, is a Ph.D. (Industrial and Systems Engineering) from IIT Kharagpur and has an Integrated Master of Science (M.S.) Degree in Physics from IIT Delhi. He is a recipient of ERASMAS MUNDAS Teaching Fellowship (European Commission) and had taught at the Fontys University of Applied Sciences, Eindhoven, the Netherlands. He received the ‘Best Teacher in Operations Management’ Award at Asia’s Best B-School Awards, Singapore, on 22nd July 2011. Prior to joining academics, Dr. Roy had worked as the Senior Principal Scientist and Head, Human Resource Group at National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies (CSIR-NISTADS), Government of India (GOI), New Delhi, India. Dr. Roy had the privilege of serving as a Member of Project Advisory Committees of GOI projects of national importance such as ‘Knowledge Creation and Innovation in Nanotechnology: Contemporary and Emerging Scenario in India’, and ‘India’s Reverse Brain Gain in Liberalized Era’. He is a Ph.D. Examiner for the University of Pretoria and the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein – both in South Africa, and Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani; Aligarh Muslim University (AMU); National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai; and IKG Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala – all in India. Dr. Roy has carried out sponsored research and consultancy assignments for International Bodies such as UNDP, DANIDA, UNESCO, University of Essex, United Kingdom, and Indian Bodies such as the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FICCI); National Information System for Science and Technology (NISSAT), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India; and Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. Dr. Roy had been a Corporate Trainer for the LANDMARK Group, REDINGTON GULF FZE, and CHOITHRAMS – all in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and HINDALCO Ltd., CPWD, Government of India, and the Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC) – all in India. Dr. Roy has many refereed journal publications and conference papers to his credit. He received the Best Paper Awards at the 14th IEF Conference, 16-18 September 2015, Cape Town, South Africa, and the 35th ISBE Conference, 7-8 November 2012, Dublin, Ireland. He has more than 41 years of experience in Technology Management, Technology Administration, Academics, and Academic Administration.
