About

Has 36 years of experience in researching coastal processes and ocean surface waves. Has executed 75 industry-funded projects dealing with Environmental Impact Assessment, design parameters for marine structures and coastal-zone management apart from 5 grant-in-aid projects. Served as Head-Business Development and Head-Ocean Engineering, CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography. Research outputs are in 161 peer-reviewed publications in SCI journals and presented 20 papers in conferences. Publications include climatology of ocean surface waves in Indian Ocean, resource assessment of wind and wave energy, design waves and littoral drift along the coast. So far guided 8 PhD, 8 M.Sc. and 8 M.Tech. students and is currently guiding 1 PhD student.
