About
Dr. Bidisha Sengupta earned her B.S. in Chemistry with honors from Bethune College, University of Calcutta, in 1992, and received her Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry in 2001. She completed postdoctoral research at the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (India), Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden), and Furman University (USA). From 2011 to 2019, she served as a tenure-track faculty member and Associate Professor at Tougaloo College, Mississippi. She currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas. Dr. Sengupta has an H-index of 29 and has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications. Her research focuses on medicinal chemistry, biomolecular and analytical spectroscopy, and environmental biochemistry.
