About
I am Senior Researcher at the AI and Digital Science Research Centre (AIDRC), Technology Innovation Institute (TII), Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates since July 2022. Previously, I was working as a Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), a research entity of the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*STAR), Singapore (2019-2022). My research interests are in systems & control with a strong background in the modelling of complex systems, optimization, & control of a large-scale system with applications to intelligent transportation systems, autonomous systems, and process control & instrumentation. I have several years of expertise in the field of control engineering and smart mobility. I am skilled in traffic simulation, control theory, C, C++, Robot Operating Systems (ROS), MATLAB, VISSIM, and VTD. This encompasses the use of modelling and control to solve science and engineering problems.
I earned my Ph.D. in the faculty of electrical engineering at Anna University, Chennai-India in February 2017. I completed my master’s degree (M.E.) with a specialization in Electrical Drives and Embedded Control from Anna University of Technology, Regional Campus Coimbatore, India in 2011. I have finished my bachelor's degree (B.Tech.) in the Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation (AEI), Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET), in Kerala, India. Moreover, I did my postdoctoral fellowship at the Energy Research Institute@NTU (ERIAN) and Smart Mobility Experience Lab (SMEL) of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore (2017–2019).
I have been a recipient of the Anna Centenary Research Fellowship (ACRF) for 3 years (2012-2015) and a scholarship for an exchange Ph.D. of 6 months mobility period at the University of Pardubice, Czech Republic through Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (EMA2) Svaagata.eu project (2014-2015), funded by European Union (EU). In addition, a paper by me (from the time he was in Singapore) won the Vincent Bendix Automotive Electronics Engineering Award in 2021, funded by SAE International. I have got teaching experience of more than 5 years as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation at the Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET), APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) in Kerala- India.
