About
Basudeb Dutta, currently working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, School of Applied Sciences, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar-751024, Odisha, India. He completed his Bachelor's (2013) and Master's (2015) degrees from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. He has received his PhD degree in 2021 under the supervision of Dr Md. Hedayetullah Mir at Aliah University, Kolkata, India. He worked as IISER-K postdoctoral fellow (2021-2022)with Dr. Sumit Khanra, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata, India. He has worked as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow (2022-2024) under Prof. Susumu Kitagawa at Kyoto University, Japan. His research topic includes the design and synthesis of coordination polymers and their application in conductivity, catalysis, magnetism, sensing, Schottky diodes, popping of crystals, and others. So far, Dr Dutta has published thirty-five original research articles (as first author) and seven review articles in the journals of international repute. He has received the ‘IUCr Young Scientist Award’ in December 2019 in the 16th Conference of the Asian Crystallographic Association (AsCA 2019), National University of Singapore, Singapore.
