Dr. Chellaiyan is a well-experienced, highly-qualified Senior Consultant Physician in Endocrinology and Diabetes. He has completed his graduation from reputed institutions- Madurai medical college (MBBS) and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi (MD). He is a gold medalist in his postgraduation (MD). He has passed the prestigious MRCP degree from the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. He has a specialization training in endocrinology & diabetes (SCE) accredited by Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and Society for Endocrinology, UK. He has been awarded fellowships (FRCP) by the Royal Colleges of Physicians- London, Edinburgh and Glasgow. He holds a fellowship degree in Diabetes( Royal Liverpool University Hospital, UK) and a fellowship in intensive care medicine. He is an instructor and training centre faculty (TCF) of BLS and ACLS courses of the American Heart Association (AHA).He has published over 180 articles in high-impact medical journals with more than 18000 citations and his H index is >32. He has authored a book and written book chapters. He has been guest speaker in many national and international conferences and chaired many scientific sessions. He has been conferred PhD in diabetes technology and received many research grants from ICMR and WHO. He envisages equitable access to healthcare affordable to all and a society free from lifestyle metabolic disorders.
