About
Adesh Kumar, Doctor in Plant Pathology, currently working as Professor and Head, Department of Plant Pathology, School of Agriculture at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab (India). He obtained his M.Sc. (Ag.) from Department of Plant Pathology, CSA University, Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) and Ph.D. (Ag.) from Department of Plant Pathology, CSA University, Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), during 2008 and 2012, respectively. His areas of research interest are Fungal Pathology, Biological Control of Phytopathogens, Mycology, Seed Pathology, Plant Microbe Interaction and Fungal Decomposition. He has to his credit 50+ research papers published in journals of national and international repute, 9 books and 20+ book chapters, 20+ patents, 10+ copyrights. Dr. Kumar has been awarded Young Scientist Award (2018), Excellence in Research Award (2018), and Excellence in Innovation Award (2025). He is serving as an editor (Fungal Pathology) of 'Indian Phytopathology' Journal, and life-time member of scientific societies- Indian Phytopathological Society and Indian Science Congress Association.
