About

Kundan Kumar Suman (Member, IEEE) received his Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad, India, in 2025, and his M.Tech. degree in RF and Microwave Engineering from the same institute in 2018. His doctoral research focused on the design and optimization of load-modulated millimeter-wave transmitters and dielectric resonator antenna arrays for high-efficiency 5G and beyond communication systems. He was a Research Intern at the Electronics and Radar Development Establishment, Bengaluru, India (2017-2018), where he worked on wideband power dividers, couplers, and monopulse networks. From 2022 to 2023, he served as a Visiting Research Student at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, contributing to load modulator based mmWave transmitter design under the supervision of Prof. Rambabu Karumudi. Dr. Suman has authored eight peer-reviewed journal papers and fifteen IEEE conference papers, published in reputed venues such as IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation, and IEEE AP-S/URSI. He is also the inventor of three Indian patents related to advanced antenna systems, including one granted and two filed with the Indian Patent Office (IPR India). He has received several prestigious awards, including the MITACS-SICI Globalink Research Award (Canada), the IEEE APS Doctoral Research Grant (2022), and the IIT(ISM) Sandwich Ph.D. Fellowship. In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Suman serves as an active reviewer for leading international journals, including IEEE Access, IET Circuits, Devices & Systems, IET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, IEEE Letters on Electromagnetic Compatibility Practice and Applications (LEMPA), and IET Electronics Letters.
