About

Dr. Gaurav Raj Dwivedi earned first-class Master in Microbiology, followed by Doctoral degree in Microbiology from CSIR–CIMAP and Dr. R.M.L. Avadh University. He brings over 22 years of experience in medical microbiology, virology, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). His research spans intracellular pathogens, identification of etiological agents, drug-target identification, screening of novel compounds and nanoparticles, mechanisms of action, and host–pathogen interaction biology.

He currently serves as Scientist E and Head of the Microbiology Division at ICMR–RMRC Gorakhpur. He has also taught Environmental Science and Industrial Microbiology at BBA University and sits on editorial boards of several scientific journals. Dr. Dwivedi has contributed to industry as a Research Scientist and Technical Advisor and has completed numerous scientific writing and review projects.

He has authored 80+ peer-reviewed papers, 10 book chapters, 5 proceedings articles, and 50 abstracts, and has delivered 20+ invited, keynote, and plenary talks at national and international scientific forums. His recognitions include CSIR-NET (2003), GATE (2003), CSIR-SRF (2009), Young Scientist Award (2014), and the ICMR Talent Search Scientist Award (2017).
