About

I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, India. I received my B.Tech.–M.Tech. (Dual Degree) in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and my Ph.D. from Imperial College London. My research focuses on computational mechanics, multiphase flows, computational fluid dynamics, granular and geophysical flows, avalanches, and mineral processing. I develop mathematical and computational models to investigate complex physical phenomena, with recent interests extending to scientific machine learning and physics-informed methods for engineering applications. My work combines fundamental modelling with high-performance computing to address problems in natural hazards, energy, and process engineering, and is carried out in collaboration with researchers and industry partners in India and internationally.
