Dr. Raje Siddiraju Upendra is a visionary academic leader and multidisciplinary innovator with 22 years of impactful contributions to Applied Engineering. As Associate Professor & Head – Research, School of ECE/MDS at REVA University, he has spearheaded the creation of CFC-STIHUB, cutting-edge labs in Food & Water Testing and AI-ML Healthcare, and industry-aligned academic programs that bridge research and societal needs. His mentorship spans 25+ UG/PG projects and five Ph.D. scholars, alongside his role as a Biocon-KGI faculty trainer.
Dr. Upendra’s academic stewardship includes ISO, NBA, NAAC processes, curriculum design, and service on VTU’s BOE/BOS and REVA’s academic council. With 116+ publications, an H-index of 15, 24 GenBank discoveries, 18 patents (08 granted), and 07 copyrights, his innovations span biosensors, AI-enabled healthcare, and smart agriculture.
He has secured ₹4.3 Cr in funded projects (DST-SEED, SHRI, NRDC, KSCST), delivering technologies like IoT grape forecasting, zero-waste biofuel bioreactors, and encrypted Agri-sensors. His global engagements include lectureships in Libya and collaborations across Sweden, Denmark, and Egypt. Honored with Best Teacher and Research Excellence awards, Dr. Upendra continues to shape academic excellence and translational innovation through editorial roles, professional memberships, and strategic consultancy.
