Post completion of M.Sc. (Gold Medalist)- Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University, India and Ph.D., Chemical Sciences , Tezpur University, Dr. Konwarh joined as a DBT Research Associate- Bioinformatics, Tezpur University and Institutional Post-Doctoral Fellow-Biomaterial Engineering and Nanomedicine at IIT Guwahati, India. Besides serving as an Assistant Professor at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, Ethiopia, he had also served as a guest faculty at Dibrugarh University (India), Jimma University (Ethiopia) and Mekelle University (Ethiopia). He served as a Scientist at Baba Kinaram Research Foundation, Mau, India. Currently, he is steering NYAI Research Labs (Guwahati, Assam) as the Research Director.

His research thrust includes nanomaterials and biopolymeric nanocomposites for biomedical and allied applications, enzyme technology, silk based bionanomaterials, tissue engineering and targeted therapeutics delivery and computational biology.

Few of his accomplishments include IASc-INSA-NASI summer research fellowship at National Brain Research Centre, India; CSIR-NET junior research fellowship; DBT- junior research fellowship; DBT-senior research fellowship; Canadian Commonwealth visiting research fellowship (Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre (BDDC), University of Guelph, Canada); DST-UKIERI project co-investigatorship and post-doctoral visiting research fellowship (University College London, England); Young Researcher Award (NITT-SPIE and Optical Society of America Student Chapter); Young Scientist Award (Eudoxia, India); Young Scientist Award (IARDO, India), IOP trusted reviewer status, editorial board/review board membership of a couple of international peer-reviewed journals and authorship of a number of highly cited high-impact research and review articles in journals of international repute and a couple of book chapters (https://scholar.google.co.in/citations?user=bcUBzKAAAAAJ&hl=en).
