About
I am a passionate researcher and academician with more than 20 years experience in the area of Life Sciences.
My research interests include plant microbe interactions, agricultural biotechnology and I am currently working to increase drought and salinity tolerance in crop legumes, especially pulses.
I am also actively engaged in mentoring entrepreneurial ventures and Startups.
Having done my Masters in Botany and Ph.D. in Medicinal plants-micropropagation from the University of Burdwan, I went on to do two post-docs, first from IIT Kharagpur on secondary metabolite pathway elucidation and latter from Bose Institute, Kolkata in proteomics studies in plant diseases.
I have since joined Banasthali Vidyapith and am currently the Head of the Department of Bioscience and Biotechnology and also Dean, Research and Development.
