About
I am a microbiologist driven by the growing clinical impact of persistent fungal pathogens and biofilm-associated infections, particularly in an era of increasing antifungal resistance and limited therapeutic options. My current work focuses on the development of nano-enabled antifungal drug delivery platforms capable of penetrating biofilm matrices, altering local microenvironments, and restoring drug susceptibility in recalcitrant fungal populations. My doctoral research in fungal biofilm biology and nano-bioremediation strategies provided a strong foundation in understanding fungal resilience and nano–biological interactions, which now informs my shift toward translational antifungal nanomedicine. By bridging fundamental microbiology with therapeutic design, my research aims to contribute to more effective clinical interventions for invasive and drug-resistant fungal diseases.
